Rayat Bahra University, Punjab to offer scholarships worth Rs 15 crore




CHANDIGARH: The Rayat Bahra University has announced to grant scholarships worth Rs 15 crore from the coming academic session under RBU-edge scholarships scheme.
Gurvinder Singh Bahra, Chancellor of the University on Sunday said that last year the University offered scholarships worth Rs 10 crore to its students. He said the University had now decided to increase the number of scholarships being offered under Corporate Social Responsibility.
The University would offer financial assistance by way of scholarships to meritorious and needy students and help them to pursue higher education.
The students could now enrol with themselves for the RBUS (Rayat Bahra University Scholarship). The scholarships up to Rs 15 crore would be given to students in the field of engineering, management, pharmaceutical sciences, education, social sciences, basic sciences, medical & allied sciences, airlines & tourism, law, and dental.
Bahra, who is also Chairman of the Rayat Bahra Group of Institutions, said that the University had already introduced several new age courses in collaboration with top multinational companies to increase the employment potential of the students.
Dr Chander Mohan Campus Director (Hoshiarpur Campus ), Sahil Bahra (Vice-President ), Dr Dinesh Sharma, Registrar ,Pankaj Verma, Director Admissions, RBU, and other faculty members were present on the occasion.
