IIM-Indore Placements 2023: 12 students offered jobs with a record package of Rs 1.14 crore




NEW DELHI: According to an official release from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, twelve students from the MBA batch 2021-23 were offered a domestic job with an impressive annual package of Rs 1.14 crore during campus placement.
This year’s highest salary package is 132% higher than the previous year. In total, 568 students from the Post Graduate Programme (PGP) and Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) appeared in the final placement drive, with a 100% placement rate.
The average compensation offered to students was Rs 30.21 lakh per annum, a 20.8% YoY increase, and the median compensation was Rs 27.20 lakh per annum, a 12.9% increase from the previous year.
The recruitment drive saw participation from over 160 recruiters, including around 80 new recruiters. The consulting, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI), and technology, media and telecommunications (TMT) sectors witnessed the highest participation, accounting for over three-fourths of the total offers.
The consulting domain had the highest share of job offers at 29%, followed by sales and marketing and finance at 18% each, general management, HR, leadership, and operations at 19%, and information technology at 16%.
Director of IIM Indore, Professor Himanshu Rai, expressed confidence in the institute’s ability to meet the evolving requirements of the future and in creating socially-conscious leaders who can empower and inspire others.
