AMU student selected as UNICEF committee vice chair

ALIGARH: Naved Alam, an MA English Language Teaching (ELT) student of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) was selected as the vice-chair of the UNICEF committee for Intergenerational Model United Program of the United Nations Association of the United States of America (UNA-USA) held recently. One hundred thirty-seven delegates from various countries registered for the program.
“It was a unique experience to be the vice chair of UNICEF on UN Day, celebrated every year on October 21. I have been with the UN since 2017 and I participate in every online programme,” Alam said.

Alam joined the Oxford University Press as a pretesting research partner last month and is a member of the Oxford University Press Exchange Program as well as the teacher’s club.
According to Zeshan Ahmed, assistant public relation officer, AMU, “The 24-year-old, from Bareilly, completed his education from STS School, AMU, pursued his graduation in English in 2020 and post-graduation in English Language Teaching from the Department of English, at Aligarh Muslim University. He has written various articles and research papers that are available on research gate.”
