“This collaboration with the RTN of the Southern Command of the Indian Army is a step further in this direction and will help identify opportunities for the domestic industry. This MoU will go a long way in helping the innovators in identifying the need-gap in the defence forces and accordingly, pave the way for building new and emerging technologies,” said Ritesh Hada, president, Karnavati University.
As part of the collaboration, the varsity will inspire and facilitate innovators in indigenous design & development of various equipment and systems for the armed forces.
“The MoU will help foster a dialogue and partnership between the defence forces and academia. As soon as this will cross the threshold of maturity, it will drive the agenda of attaining self-reliance in defence for a country aspiring to enter the Superpower Club,” Hada further added.
This collaboration will help in absorption of technologies for military modernisation, achieving self-reliance in defence manufacturing and the role of startups, industries & academics.
