UPSC CDS I 2023 notification released on upsc.gov.in, registration begins for 341 vacancies



NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission has released the UPSC CDS I 2023 notification today i.e., December 21, 2022. Candidates who are interested in Combined Defence Services Examination (I), 2023 can check the detailed notification and apply for the same beginning today on the official website – upsc.gov.in.
The last date for submission of the application form is January 10, 2023. Candidates are advised to not wait till the last date to apply for the examination as they might face problems like technical glitches and server issues due to the rush on the website.

UPSC CDS I 2023 Exam Date
The UPSC CDS I exam 2023 will be conducted on April 16, 2023. Candidates can read the complete instructions for exam in the notification (direct link given below).
The candidates applying for the UPSC CDS I 2023 exam should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility criteria for admission to the exam. Their admission at all the stages of the examination will be completely provisional subject to satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions.

As per the official notification, the exam will be conducted for a total of 341 vacancies.
100 posts for Indian Military Academy, Dehradun.
22 for Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala.
32 for Air Force Academy, Hyderabad.
170 for Officers’ Training Academy (Men), Chennai and
17 for Officers Training Academy (Women), Chennai.

How to apply for UPSC CDS I Exam 2023?
As per the official notification, “It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed for filling up the online application for the examination. OTR has to be registered only once in life time. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway for filling up the online application for the examination.”
