OCS exam results: Seven women among top 10 candidates



Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Friday published the Odisha Civil Services Examination (OCSE)-2020 in which seven women got their place among the top ten candidates. The first three positions have been occupied by women candidates only.
A woman candidate Tejaswini Behera has topped the OCSE-2020. She completed her post graduation last year from the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in economics. Her native place is Cuttack, but she has been staying in Bhubaneswar during the last 15 years. She is the daughter of Loknath Behera, additional director and CEO of Odisha Livestock Resources Development Society (OLRDS).
Subhankari Sudeshna Dash and Ananya Sristi Satpathy got rank 2 and rank 3 respectively. Similarly, Abhismita Tewary, Subhashree Rath, Sritapa Mishra and Tapati Raj received ranks 6, 7, 8 and 10.
A total of 392 candidates including 148 women cleared the final round of examination. OPSC has recommended names of these candidates for the Odisha Civil Services 2020. Number of candidates recommended under the unreserved category is 197, SEBC-43, SC-63, ST-89, one ex-serviceman, three sports persons and 14 persons with disabilities.
As many as 36,292 out of 71,485 candidates applied for the OCSE-2020 took the preliminary examination held on August 27 last year. Out of these, 3,848 wrote the Main examination held between January 20 and February 8, but 785 were called for interviews conducted between September 19 and September 30.
