DoA, CNI, dedicates CNI Foundation Day to education

Amritsar: Reiterating its commitment to serve the masses in keeping with its motto ‘Unity, Witness, Service’, the Diocese of Amritsar (DoA), Church of North India (CNI), dedicated the 52nd CNI Foundation Day to the furtherance of quality education in the rural areas of Punjab.
In pursuance of this aim, the DoA, CNI, inaugurated a branch of Baring School in Ajnala, besides organizing an education fair there to raise funds for the initiative.
Giving details, P K Samantaroy, Bishop, Diocese of Amritsar, CNI , said that as education had suffered a major setback during COVID-19 outbreak, the DoA wanted to do its bit to bring it back on track, especially for the rural masses, who lacked the resources to pursue quality education. He added that the education fair was organized with a view to raising funds for the education of children from financially challenged families.
“This is the first ever education fair post COVID-19, organized for raising funds to support the education of children from poor families. The DoA, CNI, had decided to open the branches of its best educational institutions in rural areas to ensure that kids here too have access to quality education. The inauguration of a branch of Baring School in Ajnala is a part of this initiative,” said Samantaroy.
