NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has successfully conducted the Class X 2023 annual examinations for around 21.87 Lakh registered candidates. Despite challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the board took several measures to ensure the smooth and uninterrupted conduct of all these examinations.

One of the important actions taken by the board was against those anti-social elements who made false claims of paper leaks on social media during the examinations. They uploaded fake messages and video links to allure students and parents to get the question paper on payment. The board took strict action against such elements and removed hundreds of fake YouTube links to ensure that students and parents were not misled.
Moreover, the board has lodged complaints with the Delhi Police Special Cell (MAC) to take appropriate action against the miscreants under various provisions of the IPC and IT Act. CBSE has reiterated its commitment to fair conduct of examinations and warned against the spread of unverified news or rumours.
It is worth mentioning that CBSE is committed to ensuring the credibility of its examination system, and it takes any attempt to undermine the integrity of the exams seriously. The board has strict rules and guidelines to prevent any kind of malpractice or cheating during exams, and it follows a zero-tolerance policy against such practices.
It is important to note that spreading fake news or rumours is a punishable offence, and CBSE will take action against any student found guilty of such activities under UNFAIR MEANS rules and various sections of IPC. The public is urged to stay alert and not participate in such activities or spread any information through any form of communication without verifying its authenticity.
