Business and Employment Bureau Celebrates 50 Years of Empowering Marginalized Communities




New Delhi, February 8: The Business and Employment Bureau (BEB) celebrated its 50th anniversary with a grand ceremony held at Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi. The event was graced by the presence of H.E. Mr. Arif Mohammad Khan, Governor of Kerala, Mr. Hammad Ahmed, President of BEB & Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, Prof.(Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, Vice-Chancellor, Jamia Hamdard and Mr. Sajid Ahmed, General Secretary of BEB.
The Business and Employment Bureau (BEB) was established in 1972 by Hakeem Abdul Hameed Saheb, a great visionary and philanthropist.Over the years, BEB has grown into a well-established and renowned NGO that provides education, Skill Training and opportunities to individuals seeking to improve their lives. BEB has collaborated with a number of government agencies and organizations to provide job-oriented skills and business opportunities to those in need.
In his welcome address, The Executive Secretary of BEB, Mr. Shaukat Mufti, expressed his joy and gratitude to be a part of the organization and showcased the achievements of BEB through various Vocational courses and Diplomas. He
announced that on the 25th February, 2023 BEB will be hosting a Mega Job Fair with the participation of over 100 companies, providing job opportunities to the underprivileged. He also said that BEB had just won the Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Award for being the best Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). Additionally, BEB will provide free NEET Coaching.
Prof. (Dr.) M. Afshar Alam, Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Hamdard, praised BEB’s work to help marginalized communities. He further stated that “Jamia Hamdard and BEB will work hand in hand for the betterment of society.”
Mr. Arif Mohammad Khan, Governor of Kerala, spoke at the event, thanking BEB for their noble efforts in uplifting Indian society. He fondly remembered his meetings with Hakeem Abdul Hameed Saheb, the man who had the idea for BEB, and he prayed that his family would keep his legacy alive for the glorious future of BEB.
Prof. Zeenat Iqbal gave a vote of thanks at the end of the event. She thanked the dignitaries for gracing the event and helping to make the event a success.
Prof. Farhat Basir Khan, a member of the celebration committee said that ” It is our 50th milestone and BEB is proud to have empowered marginalized communities for the last 50 years”.
